Sample Class- Hot Pack
This is a sample class that I can use to test my site to be sure things are working properly. In this class you will learn to make a snuggly hot pack to use for soothing sore, tense muscles or warm up your cold feet on a winter night.
This Hot Pack is like a pillow, but filled with corn or rice that when heated in the microwave, acts like a heating pad, but without the cord. You can safely fall asleep with one of these, unlike electric heating pads. The main bag is placed in a separate cover, a small pillow case, that can be removed and washed.
Supplies Needed:
Cotton fabric- appx. one quarter yard- Not a fat quarter
Cover fabric- can be decorative cotton or even fleece- appx. one quarter yard- Not a fat quarter.
Basic sewing supplies including machine threaded with coordinating thread.
One Quart of Shelled Corn from feed store or for feeding birds and squirrels- (not ground, or popcorn)
If corn is not easily available, plain white rice works well also.
